Review: The Skin Shop IRIS Color Control CC Cream

$

Hey girls~ I got a review for you! It's my first CC Cream experience so I think I MUST share it to you~
I've been meaning to do this review for weeks but I was too busy with my online shop. (yeah I closed my old OS account and create a new one, coz I think the old username was kinda suck, lol). Anyhow, let's get started!

I got mine from THE SKIN SHOP SINGAPORE, you can check their website HERE.

$ 44.90
60 grams

Why CC better than BB Cream?
CC cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional aim to provide more effective skin coverage. CC cream is the newest miracle beauty product available and was formulated with technology originating in industry-leader Japan and further developed in Korea.

Triple functional cosmetics
(Whitening effect+Wrinkle improvement+UV A&B Protection)

- BB Cream containing porous powder that keeps clean oil-less and silky skin with controlling sebum effectively
- BB cream containing hyaluronic acid that presents soft and smooth skin tone with enhanced moisture
- Realization of quick and easy make-up thanks to its multi-functions(Whitening + Anti-wrinkle + UV protection)
- Key ingredients : Portulacae herba extract, Ecucalyptus extract, Papaya extract, Hoeny extract, Wheat extract

Special Function:
- High Coverage
- Sebum Control

CC cream, pump dispenser~

The Skin Shop CC Cream ingredients

Swatch:
a lil bit too dark for me ;( and it will get even darker when oxidized. but I can still tolerate it.
CC cream swatch, roughly blended

Swatch, natural lighting

Swatch - oxidized (indoor lighting)
I can't really capture the true color of the swatch properly, the first swatch is the most accurate one. So pleasae refer to it :)

On my face:

dewy finish (unedited)

Like I said, this is my first CC cream experience. They like a HUGE HIT all over the blogsphere lately, you know that! High end brand like CHANEL even produced their very own CC Cream. I'm ordering more CC Cream (from Etude House to be exact) and they will be arrived at mail in two weeks~ yaaay! Can't wait!

Anyhoo, This CC cream, is one of the pioneer in Korean cometics, The Skin Shop produced this CC Cream long before CC cream makes its hit. I'm super keen to try. It's a little bit different too from todays CC Cream, there's no color changing formula, and everything looks almost the same like actual BB Cream.

The Skin Shop Iris CC cream & BB difference:
Tbh, I can't really tell the difference between TSS Iris CC Cream and any other normal BB Cream around there, the texture feels the same, the way it glides on skin is just the same too, just how your normal BB cream would do.
Also, unlike any other CC Cream, Iris CC cream claims to have a better coverage than BB Cream (while usually, other CC cream would have a sheerer coverage). Is that true? Well, I'd say it DEPENDS! Which BB Cream you'd try to compare? The best BB cream coverage from which I've ever tried would be Luview Crystal Cover BB Cream and BRTC whitening & repairing BB Cream, and these BB babies have a better coverage compared to Iris CC Cream. But however, it still has a pretty good coverage in general, though I still need a separate concealer to hide acne scar etc.

Verdict: pretty much the same with average BB Cream. Like the combination of CC+BB Cream in one.

Has medium coverage with dewy finish. Though having a dewy finish, it has a rather good oil control (I'd say its oil controling properties is REALLY good if I only haven't tried Revlon WHIPPED foundation which I recently tried, lol. Will be revieweing this soon). The shade, however, is a little bit too dark for me, a lil bit leaning towards pink, and can sometimes makes my face looks dull. I'm a BOBBI believer now, yellow undertone is like, the best (for me).

Once, I tried to apply it with a round foundation brush (my favorite is one from Estee Lauder), I didn't really like the result. Or maybe I just need to improve my face sculpting technique? haha! I like the result better when I apply it with my fingers. It doesn't really accentuate dry patches on skin, but it looks a little cakey under the sun ;^; The formula isn't really pigmented, I need to build more coverage and that when I start to build the 'cakey' look. It's my skin to be blamed (me, actually ~__~).  But yeah, I still like this CC cream~

The packaging is what I like the most, a pump type ^^ very hygienic and easy to use. The pump is user friendly too~ It has a refreshing smell, somewhat like an eucalyptus perhaps? And oh, this baby is kinda huge, 60gr, that lots of it. So don't worry about the price~

What I like:
★ Contains Hyaluronic Acid, good for dry skins.
★ Rather good oil control.
★ Doesn't aggravates acne.
★ Good for sensitive skins

Downside:
- Not really smudgeproof, it still transfer to clothes.
- Not a fragrance-free and paraben-free product.
- Only one shade available

So that's it~ if you're in Singapore, you can visit The Skin Shop outlets and ask for a sample :) I hope this review will help you choose the right CC cream for your fez! Hehe...

Also~~ I will be posting a huge haul post, I bought numbers of make-up product (cuz I think I need to complete my make-up kit). I might merge all of 'em in one post or make several haul post + random review galore. Depends on my mood :) hummm~ Be sure to check my instagram @dolljjang for a glimpse of my recent haul (just some of them). Bubbye~

Review: EOS Fuzzy Petal Violet WM225 Circle lens

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of post, been quite preoccupied with work and stuff + half of it was because of me being a slacker again, lolz~ but now I'm back, and I'll be posting up a review of circle lens for the next two post. Please don't get bored~ ^o^ I'll finish it as soon as I can.
Anyhow, today's post is a review of EOS fuzzy petal violet circle lens that I got from my beloved Australian based online shopping site, mukuCHU.

EOS Fuzzy Petal Violet WM255 Circle lens

LENS USAGE: UP TO 1 YEAR
SHELF LIFE: 3 YEARS
MANUFACTURER / ORIGIN: SOUTH KOREA
MATERIALS: 2Hema
B.C.: 8.8mm
DIAMETER: 14.8mm
WATER CONTENT: 38%
ITEM CODE: WM-225

Where to buy: mukuCHU

Color & Design: photo rat3.png
So yeah, my first violet lens! At first I was a bit afraid of wearing purple on my eye, but I think this one is not as bad. The color is not as vivid irl, you can't really tell its color from afar. It's a beautiful deep purple that blends nicely with my natural eye color. Okay, I'm not a big fan of purple but I won't mind wearing this one and go out! And the design, I like it bcuz there's a bold limbal ring-like on the outer edge. This is the first thing that I look from a light+vivid colored circle lens like this, cuz without it, it tends to make my iris look smaller and pale, which I don't like. Design and color are OK, though I'd prefer the purple to be less vivid irl, a pale violet, that is to say.

Comfort: photo rat4.png
Comfort is OK, just like any other EOS lenses in general. One day, I went out for 8 hours with this lens on (I know it's bad, lol) It started to feel a lil bit dry when I decide to take it off, but it was after a full whole day, so its definitely okay.

Enlargement: photo rat4.png
In term of enlargement, this lens is huge! Thanks to its boldy black outer ring! Hahayy~~~

So yeah, this is a lens that I would wear whenever I feel a little edgy :3 and want to change my look a bit.

A little update about me being a recent make-up addict:
Been planning to make a post about several beauty products that I really REALLY like! Hehe... idk if it wil bore you out, but I think I'll just do it anyway. Be patient plizz~ cuz I need to finish two more reviews of circle lens ;^; + I need to try and observe the products just a little bit more.

Also, I think I have pacified my long time BB addiction, but of course with ANOTHER ADDICTION! Bwahaha... I DITCHED all of my BB Cream! I'm no longer a BB cream girl at heart! Actually I don't really care about all those BB, CC, and even the ridiculous DD cream anymore >.<. I ordered some of them out of curiousity, but I know I'll never be back in love with BB, sorry bb~~ Hehe

So that's it for today's, I'll leave you with an edited pic of mine wearing EOS Violet WM255 (I tried the LINE camera apps for android.)

Thanks for reading, 'til next time~ :3

Review: Miomi Lace Gray Circle Lens + random

Heey~ overdue review post! Been busy with real life stuff (work, and a new project of mine is coming up! Hehe...) Anyway, will be reviewing MIOMI Lace Gray Circle Lens which I got from Tomato Online Shop.

PRICE: IDR 165.000

Color: photo rat3x.pngThe color is just OK, a subtle gray & black gradation that still looks pretty natural afar. I would like it more if the gray were much darker~ However the color of Miomi grey lace is still in my comfort zone.

Design: photo rat2x.pngExtraordinary unique and edgy, never seen something like this before, lol... tbh I'm not confident enough to wear this lens and go outside! Hahaha so I just tried them at home. One thing that irks me is the lacey outer edge. Upclose, they're very visible and other people will definitely notice and definitely weirded out. Anyhoo, things that I like from the design is the sharp print, they're not as pixelated. Very very sharp and detailed. Actually I LOVE everything lacey + it looks so gothic to me o: I know I love the design, but being worn? maybe not for now > . < Hope I can really pull off a look with this lens ;^;

Enlargement: photo rat4x.pngThey're HUGE, big, and dolly! 14.5mm is so deceiving! For me they look like a 15 mm lenses!

Comfort: photo rat4.pngLove it~ I have no problems with Miomi lenses, my first Miomi lens was so good and I like it too :) The lens is super thin, I can barely feel them on.

You can check out these dolly lenses, as well as other very pretty EOS, GEO lenses, at:

To real life updates~~~
After a looooong time without painting, I've been wanting to revamp all my painting tools and start a new gallery (an online gallery). Next week I'm gonna buy some new painting tools (fyi, I LOVE Derwent and Pablo! But the cheapie Marie's oil tube will do)

gonna repro-ing this lovely vintage rose painting

Nah, now  I NEED a new name for the online gallery. I've been thinking about using flowers name, I like ROSE but that's so mainstream, no? or should I just use it? Hahahaha.... but I LIKE rose already :( ... I think I'll use it anyway. Nah, to make it sounds complete, I need another word to back up the 'rose', like maybe ROSE FRISSON, ROSE 'something-something', or 'something-something' ROSE. Anything good to go along with the word ROSE. But whaaaat~~? *gonna think, and think, and think `~`
I love anything that sounds FRENCH too ♥
I know, PAINTING is my PASSION, and MY LIFE~
So yeah,  that would be all for now. Thanks for reading and I'll see you soon darling lovelies!

Review: EOS Yuna Brown & GEO Xtra Bella Green

This would be my last circle lens review in May! I'm gonna merged up the review of EOS Yuna Brown and GEO Xtra Bella Green into one post~ I received these babies from SOFTLENS SHOP for review purpose, thanks so much!!~♥
Softlens Shop is an online shopping store based in Jakarta, they sell circle lenses from various brands and the good thing is, they SHIP WORLDWIDE ^-^

 vial~

GEO WBS 203 - GEO Xtra Bella Green

 GEO Xtra Bella Green upclose

Color  & Design: photo rat4.pngI LOVE it! Never thought I'd have a heart for a green lens before, but I do like this one. It has a pretty touch of emerald green on the center, with a thick and bold black outer edges. Unlike my first pair of green lens. This one is not as vivid. The dominant color for this pair is the black. The green, however, won't be too visible unless you look at it upclose or under direct sunlight. Sometimes, peoples mistook it as a blue! Haha. It blends well with medium to dark brown eyes, too. :D

Enlargement: photo rat4x.png is what you would typically expect from 15mm lenses, big! :D I love (and need) big lenses, so this does the job. By this, don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate smaller lenses, it's just depends on my mood and my eye make-up :) Bigger lens makes me look younger, idk if it's only me, but that's what I think.

Comfort: photo rat4.pngI can wear them for several hours without any problem. Sometimes I even forget I'm wearing them. No blurry vision too, I love it~♥

The second lens being EOS Yuna Brown, onto the review!

EOS Yuna Brown - tri tone

 EOS Yuna Brown - upclose

photo taken indoor

Color & Design: photo rat2.png The color and design reminds me a lot to NEO cosmo tri tone and GEO berry holic that I received a while back. I've been dealing with ochrey tri tone lens like this a lot and I know I'd never like it. Korean tri-tone lenses, they're so typical. I'm okay with the other color, but idk why, the brown (they said brown) but it looks more ochre to me. I loathe it mainly because the design. If you take a look on the center, there's a visible pixelated dots around the pupil hole, they're very visible and looks weird. The print is super pixelated too. This lens is definitely out of my comfort zone.

Enlargement: photo rat1.pngbarely has any enlargement. And you know how I like my lenses, right? :) just a bit enlargement is just OK, but with its light color, I feel like my eyes look even smaller.

Comfort: photo rat15.pngcomfort is so-so. They’re not as comfortable as I expected them to be. It hurts me when I first push it on my eyes that I need to tug it out fastly, my eyes got red and irritated soon after =( The second attempt wasn't that bad though, but still, I can constantly feel them in my eyes! When I wear these, it feels like there are pebbles stuck in my eyes, or like there's thick plastic suffocating them and worst of all is blurry vision ~__~

Review/Comparison: MUA Undressed + Undress Me Too Palette

$

Finally! One of the most requested post, review and comparison between MUA Undressed palette and MUA undress me too palette. As some of you may know, these are the 'shameless' dupe of Urban Decay NAKED Basic and Urban Decay Naked 2. I haven't really tried the actual UD NAKED palette... yet, so I won't make a comparison between the original naked palette and the MUA's take on UD's Naked. I hope this post will be useful for those who are unsure about getting the palettes.

MUA undressed palette VS MUA undress me too palette

I had a high hopes for these palettes because everybody is talking about them, reviewing them, and many also said that these are one good palette. Considering the price (£4) yes, these are good (for your wallet!). I bought like four of them on a whim just because I think I'm gonna love it, lol. MUA undressed and undressed me too, they've been hyped up like crazy, so that time I just think "I MUST TRY IT!"

Before jumping into the review, I will show you the comparison swatches and photos between MUA undressed and MUA undress me too.

MUA undress me too eyeshadow palette (dupe naked 2)

MUA undressed palette (UD Naked Basic dupe)

SWATCHES:

MUA undress me too swatches (lower row)

MUA undressed swatches (upper row), photo taken under natural light, window lighting

   MUA undressed swatches (lower row)

MUA undressed swatches - upclose (upper row)
MUA undressed swatches - upclose (lower row)

Note that I didn't apply any primer for the swatches. Also, all of them are heavily swatched. I won't bother to show you the upclose swatch of MUA undress me too because they're a total let down for me :(
Okay now, onto the review!

MUA UNDRESS ME TOO:
a TOTAL LET DOWN! I tell you, at first I thought it was a good palette and I really had a high hope for this baby! But as soon as I tried it, I was dissapointed. The pigmentation is really really poor. I tried to HEAVILY swatch the shades to my hand but the result would always be like that ^ take a look at the photo of MUA Undress me too swatches above. Even after multiple layers of swatches, the colors barely show up. It's so annoying that you have to use LOTS of them on eyes. Primer helps the color to show up a bit, but still, I despise every eyeshadows that relying too much on primer!

About the eyeshadow itself, there are three matte shade, the other shades are shimmery and almost metallicy. On the eyes, I can't really distinguish some of colors one to another. Staying power is not really good (because the colors barely show up anyway), you definitely need a primer to go together with this palette.

I know I've read quite a lot of good reviews about MUA undress me too, but I just... can't! In fact I'm bewildered by all of the good review! BUT, I also found numbers of BAD reviews about this palette, I'm on their side anyhow! Having tried other higher-end brands, I'd say this palette is a total so-so. And except for the price, there's almost nothing good about this palette. I'm not trying to compare it with high-end branded palette, but a dirt cheap drugstore palette that comes at par with high-end brand does exist! Let's say some NYX palettes~

All in all, I won't bother to repurchase MUA undress me too. Now I know why most bloggers choose MUA undressed over MUA undress me too.

Rating: photo rat15.png

MUA UNDRESSED palette:
Unlike its sister, this one is a pretty decent palette. You'll find two matte shade (the firt is a beautiful taupe-ish brown and the second being the darker version of the taupe), both of the matte shades make a good eyeshadow base, and are good to contour the socket. And there's two light/whitish shimmery shade to highlight. The colors show up well even without a primer and staying power is also better. Overall, it has a BETTER quality compared to MUA undress me too.

Other good thing about this palette is, no fall out during application, the texture might get a bit powdery, not as rich and creamy, but still worth to use. As you can see on the swatches above, they look very pretty upclose!

This might not be the best palette, but again, with £4 price tag there's nothing to lose. I recommend this for those who loves earth-toned eyeshadow. With 12 colors of nude color collection, you can create TONS of eye make-up style. Whether it's a smokey look or a nude look, you choose!

Rating: photo rating4.png

So which one?
I'd definitely choose MUA undressed palette, and I know I'm going to love this palette more than its sister. First, the color range is wider (while you'll only get mostly warm toned shade on MUA undress me too). Second, and the most important thing, is the pigmentation. MUA undress me too is just a total trash imo! Again, eyeshadow that is relying on primer is not good! With primer, MUA undress me too definitely makes another game, they look pretty good and stay intact. But the shades won't surpass MUA undressed palette in combo with primer. Pigmentation is the thing that you actually look in eyeshadow, true? MUA undressed palette is far much better.

I hope my comparison post could be helpful for you :) Thanks for reading and I'll see you soon darlings!

Review: INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (Soft)

$

Actually, this is a requested post, I received a mail from someone asking me to try and make a review of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic pore clay mask. So after looking up a bit for reviews, I thougt this would suit me, and so I bought it.

Before I start with the review, for reference, I have oily skin. (Also acne prone on the cheeks area)

What Innisfree says:
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask is a Jeju volcanic scoria clay mask to intensively adsorb sebum and purify pores. Jeju volcanic scoria is formulated from solidified lava caused by volcanic eruptions in Jeju Island. This pure and rare ingredient adsorbs impurities and sebum that are deeply embedded within skin pores.

INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (Soft)
Texture is creamy and thick, just like any other clay mask  in general.

It comes with a box, but no spatula:

INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask box
INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay MaskIngredients and direction of use
They use the word 'adsorb' instead of 'absorb'. Note that adsorption is a surface-based process while absorption involves the whole volume of the material.

100% recycled paper :) & printed with SOY INK!

INNISFREE Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (Soft) texture.

Packaging: It comes in 100 ml double lidded plastick jar with a 100% recycled paper box printed with SOY INK! I love the packaging, and in fact, this is what I love the most about this product. I'm not a person who dislike jars. Actually, I love it. I can use every bits of the product til the very end. I don't mind the jar because I've always kept my hands VERY clean before I dare to touch my face, and sometimes crazily disinfect my hands with alcohol spray. Yay for the packaging!

Product Details: There's plenty for you to use. Depending on how thick you want your mask to be, it will last for 8~12 months. Texture is a thick (but soft) clay that spreads easily on face. Just note that you need to put it HEAVILY on your fez! Yes you NEED to do that. If you go to any beauty clinic, you'll see that they will put on a LARGE AMOUNT of clay mask on your face, and that's what you exactly need to do. But again, this will last you at least a good 8 months.

It also has a subtle, err.. earthy smell, I don't really know how describe it properly. Oh my, what a bad reviewer I am, lol. But really, it's hard to describe it accurately. Forget about the smell anyway~

Result: I've been using it for two months (1~2 times/week) but I didn't see any difference on my pores, lol. For reference, I'm lucky enough (or not lucky cuz mine is acne prone!) to have micro pores, they're not visible and I've never had problems with blackhead or comedo. So let's just skip this part.

It also claims to adsorb excess sebum on face, Nah... unfortunately it doesn't live up to its claim. The oil will start kick in less than an hour after I rinse the mask off. They also say it's good to wear this mask on troubled face, I tried it when I had several zits on my face but there was no satisfactory result.

Overall Rating: photo rat2x.png
I gave it 2.5 out of 5 because I don't see any results. I won't repurchase, Innisfree Jeju volcanic mask might work well on others but sadly, this is just not for me.

I'll leave you with a selfie~♥ hohoho. I used instagram and android app Girl's Camera.

Review: PHYSICIANS FORMULA Shimmer Strips Nude Eye Shadow Palette

Okay, first, the original name of this product is Physicians Formula • Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Liner- Nude palette • Eye Shadow. It's so mouthful that I decided to call it as PF Nude eye palette. I bought it on a whim just because of its uber cute packaging, hahaha. It's so me! I also love the nude range of shades it haz. So why not? Let me tell you my verdict of this palette~

More details of the packaging (just because I really really like it!) ♥

PHYSICIANS FORMULA Shimmer Strips Nude Eye Shadow Palette
Love love the packaging! Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Nude Eye Shadow Palette got the cutest packaging for an eye palette! Yeaay. However, the packaging might be pretty but it's so delicate and frail. The cute tiny ribbon could easily fall-off and the lace was broken when I received this palette on mail so I had to fix it. I used a fabric glue to re-attach the lace.

Back part of Physicians Formula nude eye palette

Physicians Formula Shimmer strips nude eyeshadow palette - inner part

Physicians Formula Shimmer strips NUDE eyeshadow palette, there are 9 shades of eyeshadow in nude shade. The darker color in this palette could also be used as liner, and you need to wet your brush/applicator for that purpose.

DIRECTIONS:
Create the Nude Eye: 1. Sweep medium shade over lid as base. 2. Apply darkest shade to upper & lower lash line with pointed tip of applicator to line eyes. For added definition, apply darkest shade in the contour of upper eyelid. To intensify color, wet applicator. 3. Use lightest shade to highlight brow bone.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA  Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner swatches
photo taken under natural lighting

Here's the swatches, with and without base (I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in milky as a base). Without base, the pigmentation is really poor and barely noticeable, especially Trio1 and Trio2. The only color that actually works are Trio3, dramatic.

p.s: the swatches might look good on my hand. but on eyes, it's a whole different story.

Verdict:
I have a love-hate relationship with this palette. And yes, I'm fully aware that peoples are bashing about the color pigment and so will do I. Though I knew that this palette could be used wet or dry, and OFC, using a damp applicator will enhance the color. But still, the lighter color of the shade barely has pigmentation at all! Like, they all look all the same on my eyelids! All shimery and kind of frosty. I tried to pull off a look by using trio 1 and trio 2, and they look just slightly different (with base & primer). What really works is the darker shade, while the lighter shade are all crap.

However, there's still some shade I like from this palette, one of  my favorite shade is the darkest shade from Trio1 #natural which supposed to be a liner, though, I won't really address it as a 'liner' because the color looks much lighter on eyelids. Try use a damp sponge and it will not really enhance the color either. But the color itself is pretty and wearable.

Texture is so creamy, it crumbs a little but there's nothing to complain about the texture. It adheres nicely too on eyes. With primer, the staying power is quite good. It stay intact on eyes four a couple of hours.

Actually, I tried to love this palette 'fully' but I can't! Haha... the dainty packaging might be the only thing I love the most from this palette. While the other aspect from this palette is poor T___T. The quality of the eyeshadow itself doesn't stand up to its own packaging, that's really a shame.

Other thing, the palette is so small. Therefore, you need to pick the color carefully and gently, cuz there's no separate chamber for each of the color and you might end up picking the neighbouring colors.

Massive Make-up & Skincare HAUL + Jojo Palette Review!

Guuuuys! Sorry for the long wait! Hehehe... I can't stop buying things and so here's the promised haul post for ya! These are my recent buy from May to June.

Taraaaaa~~~*Another beauty haul! It's not all, I still have couples of items uncaptured cuz I forgot where d'heck did I put them O_O
Anyway, on the top center I have 'yet another' palette, S104 78 color eyeshadow from NYX, and then some STILA travel palette, I also bought a number of foundation, bare minerals brushes and pink brush set, Make-up book by Robert Jones (one of my fave MUA), CC cream, base, some Lioele stuff (sleeping pack, pore rich balm), lipsticks, curlers, skincare, Bourjois blush, etc, etc... lol

Closer look~ On the left side of bare minerals brushes are TFS eyeshadow stick (which is perfect for inner corner eye brightener!), REVLON just bitten kissable in crush, NYX Jumbo eye pencil in milky.
Eyeshadow from Stila (sydney and london travel palette), Clinique duo eyeshadow in rusted roses (favorite!♥), Bobbi Brown Nude on Nude matte eyeshadow palette, Lipstick from ANNA SUI (fave!!♥), Vincent Longo, Beauty Buffet. Bare minerals loose powder brushes & Masami Shouko blush brush.

Here I have Etude house look at my eye - eyeshadow in orange, The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex single eyeshadows, tony moly mini tint, Etude House sweet Recipe all over color in peach, Etude house curler, Tony moly mini berry tint.
Lioele waterdrop sleeping pack, Lioele secret pore rich balm, Lots of lioele sampler (BB cream, pearl blooming base, waterdrop BB Cream, Beyond the solution BB cream, Triple solution bb cream), SIGMA E60 large shader brush, The face shop lovely me:ex make upbase in green, Tony moly backstage eyeliner gel in brown, Pixy black eyeliner gel.
Foundation! Since I'm now a Foundie girl at heart, I've found my soulmate already! Hehee...Here they are: Revlon whipped cream foundation in buff (I bought two jar because I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!), Revlon photoready airbrush mousse foundation in shell (don't like it bcuz it has shimmer!), SEPHORA light veil mousse foundation (my first love~!), Milani Mousse foundation which I adore so very much!

And here's my new skincare line form WISHTREND.com! Yeaaay! Finally, I've been struggling with minor acne for months and I'm VERY satisfied with the result. Skincare will prevail, lol! The combination of ENCA AC control toner + ENCA AC drying pinky powder + ROJUKISS celtic lime tree mist works like miracle! I'll make a full post about this lovely skincare line later :) (and also a GIVEAWAY~soon!)

Sooo yeaa, completing and revamping my very own make-up traincase is so amusing! I'm gonna look for a new bigger traincase too. I want one in silver or pink :)

Then, I want to show you some of my favorite items which makes me fall head over heel in love with them~! I can find myself wearing these quite often bcuz I really really like it :3

SEPHORA light veil foundation and CLINIQUE eye shadow duo in Rusted Roses!♥♥

Hehe... I bougt Sephora Foundation from MusesWonderland, the result is far beyond my expectation. Being mesmerized by the result of mousse type foundation, I hunt lots of mousse and whipped type foundation and luckily found some holy grails! Thanks Sephora fond de teint! You opened my eyes!

While the Clinique eye shadow duo in rusted roses is a preloved items pre-owned by a friend, Jaclyn.  I bought it on a whim cuz the price was so cheap and the duo color looked enticing and wearable. Plus... it's a Clinique~!

 ANNA SUI ~ Sui Rouge V 361.

I Love love LOVE this lipstick! ANNA SUI also changes my old perspective about lipstick. My first lipstick was NYX round lipstick and I grow to dislike it by time bcuz of its incredulous and sloppy quality. But ANNA SUI is different. I know everyone on BEAUTYLISH love this baby as well. Anna Sui Rouge feels more like a tint in stick form and it has an exhilarating real rose scent!
Will also make a separate review for this baby later ^-^

Okaaay, moving on from a haul post, now I have a palette to review! It's an eye shadow and eye brow palette sponsored by KKCENTERHK.

USD$8.93
EyeShadow Color : Pink & Sliver & White
Eyebrow Color : Brown & Black
Box Size : 10cm x 4cm x 1cm[

I'll make a quick review for this palette :) First, about the packaging. It looks like your typical eyeshadow case. Design is just OK, I like it. But the material used need to be improved. The plastic packaging is kinda wobbly and is not sturdy. I think it will break apart on the first time you drop it! Haha!
It comes with a dual sided applicator, sponge brush for eyeshadow and pricky flat brush for eye brow. They're pretty much useless so I'll just throw it away.

What I like about this palette is the eye brow color. The colors are so natural and they're long lasting :) The lighter shade turned out darker swatched, but still match my hair nicely.

The eyeshadows are so-so. Barely has any color pay-off on eyelids even with base, and they look so frosty that I think it's better to use them as inner corner eye brightener instead of the actual eyeshadow. The texture is very crumbly! far away from the creaminess you dreamt off~ hahaay!
-------------------------

On my next post, I'm still going to continue my eye shadow/eye palette review galore :)
I'll leave you with a photo teaser~ Ciao!

Banila co. Jessica friday the night eye palette!

Review: Syahrini False Eyelashes Merak & Surya Kencana

Hi lovelies! Thanks for still reading my blog :)
Tonight (ewwww.... it's morning already 1:32 am) I'll be reviewing two falsies that I got from D'EYEKO. Yeaaah, one of them turned out to be my favorite! Hehe... Syahrini is Indonesian celeb and she's quite famous here ^-^ Her signature look is an extravagant eye make-up (and of course falsies). So yeah, these are the falsies she designed.

A bit about D'eyeko falsies:
All of D'EYEKO eyelashes are 100% handmade to exact specifications, with 100% sterilized human hair in black or hair-like fiber in colored lashes and a rigorous quality-control process ensures the highest standard of excellence in manufacturing and distribution. These are fine designer quality false eyelashes. Available in a variety of colors, shapes and densities. Our lashes are also trimmable to size, simple to apply and remove, and fully reusable.

Clinique Mascara

Sorry for posting up a huge photo of my eyes, lol. It's because I really like this falsies... hehe...

Syahrini falsies - MERAK

Verdict:
Well, merak is, a peacock. This might be inspired by how beautiful the peacock is. I didn't think I will like this falsies to this extent. At first I even thought that this would look weird on me. But upon wearing, it look surprisingly natural despite being a little bit extravagant. It’s made from 100% HUMAN HAIR! No wonder it felt so soft and light (even softer than Dolly Wink falsies I gues!). It’s not as cheap as the usual plastic falsies ($ 0.2-0.3 for a pair of lashes only), but the price isn’t bad at all, especially for its quality. It feels light on eyes, very light that I forgot that I'm wearing a falsies.
MERAK is a build-in double falsies. For those who love to overlap their falsies, this might come in handy :) I wonder if they have a daily-wearable type of falsies with the same design (but minus the heavy wing). If such falsies exist then it would definitely be my HG!

Verdict:
Unfortunately, this pair doesn't quite suit me. It looks too big on my small eyes. Yes, I have SMALL eyes, that's too bad haha.  The fibers feels more plasticy than MERAK. I wonder if this also made from natural sterilized human hair? because it does feel very plasticy. The design is TOO NEAT. The first thing I want from falsies is naturalness. So I'd prefer messy design, or at least it doesn't look too made up or neat like this. This is also a pair that you'd definitely want to wear with a full make-up on.
Surya Kencana might look good and better for those with bigger eyes I assume :)

This tastes really GOOD! (I'm drinking it while typing ♥). Not to sweet, but rich in flavor. Peach and tea is like a perfect combo ^-^

Review: CLEAR COLOR CL105 Natural Brown Lens + mini haul

Today I'm going to make a review of my current favorite circle lens! finally, hehe...another natural brown colored circle lens. This review is sponsored by KPOP2.

 vial

Clear color CL 105 circle lens. a VERY natural brown lens :)

EOTD ~ Above are my current signature eye make-up. I used Tony moly backstage eyeliner gel in brown. clinique mascara (1 coat only), and NYX eyeshadow (the peach one from NYX 78 eyeshadow collection S104), Etude House proof 10 eye primer.

Color & Design: photo rat4x.png Love the color and design so very much! No wonder, I choose the lens myself so I know I'll definitely like it! The brown color is a sweet chocolate brown, it matches my natural eye color so well that no one would expect me wearing a lens. I also like its simple design, so pure and innocent! The print is not too pixelated, it's quite sharp imo, though you'll still notice the pixel if you examine it closely. but heck who'll notice that? :D

Comfort: photo rat4.pngnothing to complain about. It might felt a little drying after awhile but that doesn't really bother me anyway.

Enlargement: photo rat3.png being 14mm lens, it's normal that it gives me just a little enlargement. Perfect to go along with my current signature eye look which is also very natural looking.

Overall: photo rat4.png I like this pair! If you like natural style make-up, or "no make-up" make-up then you'll going to love this lens :)

Here's me wearing clear color CL 105, I look older and flat lately :( unedited yeah~

By the way, I got a mini haul (yesterday and today!) Let's take a look!

WET N WILD blush in pearlscent pink, lipgloss in seedless watermelon, and H2o proof liquid eyeliner in black! I'll try it today :) *so excited~

I just now I received this!!! this!!! a BABY~~! If you're an old follower of my blog then you'd prolly know what is this! ♥♥♥ Yeaayyy I'm dancing like a happy mango!

Hell yeaaaa it's another jar of MIZON all in one snail repair cream! I ordered this early in June and this baby finally arrived at mail today! I'm super super excited! It's like the best SNAIL cream I've ever tried, leaving SECRET KEY snail cream bites the dust! Read my previous review of Mizon all in one snail repair cream HERE.

I really recommend this snail cream! It doesn't leave a greasy/sticky feeling on skin, cure acne and blemishes, getting rid of skin troubles, scars, and acne marks. Has a great healing properties! Thanks Mizon :)))
My skin has never been as good as when I'm continuously using it! Thanks mizon, you'll always be my number one favorite skincare

Hehe... I think that's all for now! I have lots of thing to be reviewed. For upcoming review, it would be a review post if wishtrend's product, Wet n Wild, and maybe Etude House?

Gonna leave you with a goofy looking selca~
Toodles~♥

Review: BANILA CO. Friday Night Eye Palette - Jessica The Angel

Here's another eyeshadow palette review for you~ and it's from my favorite brand, Banila co.! Banila co. is a popular, high-end Korean brand highly praised by youngsters in Korea. Banila co. Friday night eye palette shadow - Jessica The Angel sells for $ 35.45 at W2BEAUTY.

BANILA CO. Friday Night Make-up line~

BANILA CO. Friday Night Eye Palette ~ Jessica The Angel
Loving the illustration on the packaging! The girl wears a cat ear beanie and she looks cute~

Back packaging of BANILA CO. Friday Night Eye Palette - Jessica The Angel

Plastic partition to keep the mirror clean

This sponge applicator comes in handy :) and believe me it's usable. Many would throw away this little applicator right away, but if you're able to use it properly, it gives you a nice, bold, and vivid result.

Packaging:
The girl illustration on the packaging is so eye-catchy. A bit STILA-ish, if you know what I mean. The casing and internal compartment were made from a sturdy high quality plastic colored in pink.  Overall, I LOVE the packaging! Hehe... I also like its small size, it looks cuter and it would fit into most make-up pouches nicely. This palette is also perfect for travelling since it has a build-in mirror and comes with a high quality sponge applicator.

 Taken under natural day light

Taken with flash
Colors:
1 white cream eyeshadow/eye base and 5 glittery/frosty pressed eyeshadow.
 From left to right:

1. White eyeshadow/ eye base.

2. The  second color (beside the white eye base) is a frosty pale beige eye shadow. This shade is so glittery and looks frosty, makes it perfect to be used as eye-brightener. (Something that works like Etude House line nuance duo or Etude house eye glow!). For this purpose, I usually use the sponge applicator (dampen it for a more vivi

3. My favorite shade!!! This shade is also super glittery and frosty, but I don't mind at all since the color is so beautiful already. I'm so into peach-toned eye shadow. I love how the color makes my eyes look healthy, brighter, and pops~! Peach is such a girly and sweet color and definitely a must have :)

4. The fourth color is smiliar to the second one, this one is just one shade lighter and is less glittery. I usually use this to highlight the browbone and I usually use it to line my lower eyeline on the day when I want to look more natural.

5. a pretty gold shade with lots of glitters! Also perfect to be used on lower lash line. Or used all-over the eyelids for extravagant look.

6. Frosty dark brown color, this is the key shade on this palette. You can go all smokey by applying this shade here and there, and it could also be used as a simple eyeliner just in case you want a little definition for your eyes without being too bold.

Here's the swatches:

Every shade on this eye palette is frosty and they're all full of glitters. Hence the name, Friday Night Eye Palette. This is the palette that you would only want to wear during evening time. I too, wouldn't dare to wear it on a broad daylight as it will makes me look like a discoball! Heck... But~ I'd still use some of the colors as an eye brightener (used thinly along the lower lash line) during the days, it works!

Here are some EOTD with BANILA CO. Friday Night Eye Palette - Jessica The Angel

Verdict:
Despite being so frosty and glittery, surprisingly, Friday night eye palette has a pretty good color pay-off. Even without eye base, the color still looks wonderful and pigmented as ever. All of the color is wearable and gives natural look. This is perfect since I'm not a person who'll wear blue, purple, or green that often ^-^. Staying power is good :) it stays intact on my super oily eye lids (I used Etude House proof 10 eye primer) and I didn't even need a single retouch during the whole night, which is great~! The only downside is, under certain lighting, this could makes you look like a walking disco ball. So I prefer to use it thinly all-over the eyelids and then apply the pigment more, concentrating on the outer corner of my eye.

Texture of the pressed shadows are so creamy! Though sometimes they could be a liiiittle bit crumbly because of the excessive glitters but there's nothing to complain about ^-^ For those who love smokey eye look, you're going to love this palette too cuz there are barely any fall out :)

Overall, I really like this eye palette~! I'm the satisfied one I'd say~ If you want to try some of high-end Korean branded product then you should try BANILA CO.

Review: KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream from WISHTREND

Hello dear lovelies~ thanks for still reading my blog ^-^ First of all I must tell you that I won't be having much free-time to blogwalk and reply you comment one by one like I used to :( so sorry. I'm still VERY happy to read all the comments, I do ^^ but work has been killing me, so I hope you understand~

Anyway, I got a review for you guys! It's a KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB CREAM from WISHTREND.com (lately I've been getting/buying lots of stuff from WISHTREND). Here goes.

 Function:
+ Sun protection
+ Whitening
+ Wrinkle improvement
+ Sebum control

Brand : Klairs
All skin Types
Volume: 40ml
Made in Korea

 SPF 40, PA++

KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream Ingredients

FYI, here's some of they KEY INGREDIENTS:
ADENOSINE: penetrates deeply into the skin to help prevent wrinkles, reduce UV B sun damage. It is particularly effective for peri orbital wrinkles( crow’s feet) and glabellar ( forehead) frown lines. It has been shown to enhance the effects of botox in facial wrinkle reduction. RG-Cell uses Adenosine delivered in a Lecithin based “Adenosome” for enhanced deep epidermal and dermal delivery.
★ ALLANTOIN: Allantoin is a natural soothing, anti-irritant, and skin protectant that  increases the water content of the extracellular matrix which provides structural support to cells and is an important part of connective tissue. Allantoin also increases the smoothness of the skin; promotes cell replication; and promotes the healing of wounds, burns, and scars.
★ HYALURONIC ACID: Water tank, excellent hydrating properties.
★ NIACIN AMIDE: vitamin B3 / nicotinic acid.

NO PARABENS and NO ALCOHOL :) YAY! You'll find TONS of herbal extract too, which is good. The only downside is, this BB cream is not talc-free and not fragrance-free.

KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream Swatches

KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream swatches, well blended. It blends perfectly with my natural skin tone (NC15). Yipppie!

KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream OIL TEST
KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream contains slightly more oil compared to Nature republic Pure Botanical BB Cream. Though, the oil isn't as horrifying as my old Maybelline and BRTC BB cream.

No Beauty Shot and photoshop, so you can see how the foundation actually looks in photos. Please excuse my severe under eye darkcircle and DEEP lines ;^; Take a look at my cheek, I still have fews pimples and blemishes, it took me more than 15 minutes to achieve a nice coverage. (KLAIRS BB cream, The Face Shop Face it Dual Veil concealer + SHISEIDO pencil concealer).
However, the scars and pigmentations were more noticeable irl. CANON, u're being too nice!

What I like about it:
★ Has a very natural yellow undertone which perfectly matches my skintone! Yay!
★ No creasing, No cakey finish.
★ NO PARABENS!
★ No artificial coloring.
★ Natural result (refer to photo above ^^).  Doesn't give me GRAYISH/whitish cast.
★ Medium buildable coverage.
★ Lots of herbal/natural ingredients.

What I don't like about it:
- Oil control is not that good, doesn't live up to their claim (but this might be good for those with drier skin)
- Staying power isn't as good, possibly caused by the excess oil from the BB cream itself.
- Contains talc & fragrance.

Verdict:
Remember that I said I won't be using BB Cream anymore a while ago? Nah, now I have few exception since I've found some BB cream that are quite good and comparable with the actual foundation. But still, I'm going to be honest with you, foundation is unbeatable. By this I really mean it that it's impossible for a BB cream to beat foundation (in terms of coverage, flawlessness, and even a naturalness). HOWEVER, sometimes, on busy-low-maintenance days, BB cream can be a good choice. That's what I think. Okayyy, enough talking about all the foundie stuff. Here goes my verdict of KLAIRS Illuminating Supple Blemish Balm Cream!

First, the consistency. This is the main thing that urges me to talk about foundation. Yes! Klairs Illuminating BB cream has a liquidy consistency that is similar to liquid foundation. Rather runny, and very easy to blend. Even a rough blending will create a flawless non-cakey result, perfect for first- timers. ^-^
Despite being a bit watery, Klairs BB cream has a medium-buildable coverage. It evens-out complexion naturally and won't leave a grayish cast. I also like its yellow undertone (I'm a BOBBI BROWN believer) and I know that yellowish foundie/BB works best on me.

The result it gives is a semi-dewy finish. I have oily skin so actually I'd prefer to be as matte as possible.
On my face, it will stay around 3 hours at the longest before the oil start to kick-in. I tried to use it over a base (I used The Face Shop lovely me:ex base in green) and it could prolong the staying power a bit.

Though there's a pre-caution about no to use the BB cream on blemishes (that's a weird one, I think) but I used it anyway, haha! Luckily I didn't find any trouble with my skin afterwards. It doesn't aggravates the existing blemishes anyway, which is nice~

Lastly, I think this BB cream would be PERFECT for BB cream lover with DRY skin. It has an excellent hydrating properties, thanks to hyaluronic acid. I'll use this BB cream when I won't be out for too long because I love how natural it looks on my skin :3

Coverage: photo rat3x.png
Staying power:   photo rat3x.png
Oil Control: photo rat2x.png
Overall Rating: photo rat4.png

More selca of me wearing KLAIRS Illuminating Supple BB Cream:

Guess that's it for today, darlings~ *rushes off to bed*

Review: SECRET KEY SNAIL+EGF Repairing Gel Cream

$
0
0
Yo girls, I'm back with another skincare review :) Well, actually I feel reluctant to make a review of Sectret Key SNAIL + EGF repairing gel cream because I even stopped using it (switched back to my second jar of MIZON snail repair cream). But I got lots of request from lovelies from facebook group, so yeah... here goes:

SECRET KEY SNAIL+EGF Repairing Gel Cream

 double lid jar

SECRET KEY SNAIL+EGF Repairing Gel Cream

Volume : 50g

Main Contents

Snail extract, EGF, Witch hazel extract, Aloe Vera leaf extract, B-Glucan, Lemon extract

Product Description
Moisture cooling effect UP and oiliness DOWN.
Natural preservatives used.
Prevents skin from drying and keeps moisture for long hours.
Gel cream that improves troubled skin

About the product:
Just another SNAIL repairing cream that's being hyped up lately. Everybody's talking about Secret Key right after I made my first purchase and I initially thought  my skin will like this gel cream, cuz it's oil-free and contain snail mucus. Another ingredients that I like is BETA GLUCAN, I've been using skincare products with Beta Glucan as the main ingredients for more than 5 years already and I like it. (fyi, Mizon snail cream also has B-Glucan in it). And about EGF, EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor. Basically, this EGF is a growth factor that stimulates cell growth, and this EGF also stimulating our Stem Cell to grow even more and replace others broken cell or tissue on our skins.

Read my favorite STEMCELLO EGF Vitamin C serum HERE.

Verdict:
First off, I had high hopes for this gel cream, really :( but all in all this is just a so-so product for me, though I've read so many good review about this cream out there. Sadly my skin doesn't seem to like it. It doesn't give significant result like MIZON all in one snail repair cream did. And to be frank, it doesn't give any result at all. I purchased this cream early in January and I stopped using it after two months.

Sounds like I really hate this product, eh? lmao. actually no, the fact is, I've tried another snail cream that works in a MUCH BETTER WAY than this (you know what product I rave about, yes it's mizon!^-^). The first thing I hate about SECRET KEY repairing gel cream is the SMELL! Yuck! It's so perfumey. I immediately smell its annoying strong floralish scent on a moment I open the inner lid. and I was like " ewwww.... I don't need parfume in my skincare product!"

Second, and just like I've said, I didn't see any result. But I can't really blame this poor gel cream all over because, you know, my skin was in its worst condition back in January. Lots of blemishes, scars, and pigmentation. Urghhh. (though, my skin has improved quite a bit now).

On the brighter side~~~ well, I do have few things that I like from SECRET KEY SNAIL+EGF Repairing Gel Cream. lesse... I LOVE its gel consistency! It's oil-free and doesn't leave any sticky feeling on my skin. It moisturizes quite well and I find that my skin has become less oilier too.

I've read somewhere on naver that this could also be used as a sleeping mask due to its gel consistency. I've never tried that before but I think it will do the job better that way, perhaps? But heck I won't stand the flowery smell it haz >.< so I definitely won't try it.

About the packaging, I don't mind jarred skincare products, I actually like it. I can use up all the product til the last drop, yay! I always disinfect my fingers thoroughly before I dare to touch my face. If you hate to dip your fingers in, just buy a spatula because it doesn't come together with the spatula.

Anyhow, though I said that this gel cream doesn't work on my acne-prone skin. Surprisingly, a friend of mine told me that this gel works nicely and improved her troubled skin a lot! Good to hear that~

Remember that result can be different from person to person, and this review is based on my personal experience.

Will I repurchase? Definitely no. I will stick to MIZON snail cream for the time being :)

Review: THE FACE SHOP Face it Radiance Concealer Dual Veil

I bought this early in January because I saw it on Jae-ah's blog, she listed it as one of her favorite make-up. Not only that, THE FACE SHOP face it radiance concealer dual veil is also one of the best concealer in Korea, 2012. It's available in two shades, I got mine in NB21, the lightest one (which is way too dark for me, boo!)

 stick concealer for fuller coverage

wand type liquid concealer-gives sheerest coverage

THE FACE SHOP Face it Radiance Concealer Dual Veil swatches

I'm going to make a quick review since I don't really have much time > . < I still have a work to be done.
Well. I just have to say that this concealer doesn't live up to my expectation, though, this isn't as bad, it's just that I had high hopes for this concealer (considering it as a best seller concealer in Korea).
But yeah you'll get what you pay, I paid this for US $11.00.
For reference, my past skin condition is worser than now, angry blemishes shows up almost everywhere on my cheek. For a skin condition that needs extra coverage like mine, wand type liquid concealer is definitely not enough. So I thought I could pull off extra coverage by wearing the stick one. but sadly (though it's still much much better than the body shop tea tree concealer), this is just a so-so stick concealer for me.

Liquid concealer (wand): gives off sheerest coverage, has a semi-thick consistency but kind of 'runny' as it glides along which makes it kinda difficult to work. I used the wand to only pick-up the liquid, and start to work on spots using small concealer brushes. The coverage isn't that buildable, the only thing it does is reducing the appearance of dark spots/blemishes a little, not hides them (as of course). This liquid concealer is lacking of pigment, which forced me to use more product, and that's bad, using too much liquidy product could lead to cakey-ness (LOL is that even a word?). Staying powder is literally bad, like only for a couple of hours. Those with minor imperfection might loves this because it offers a natural coverage. I'd still use this one on low maintenance day-look.

Stick concealer: supposed to give fuller coverage. Well, this one does give a fuller coverage, but not the fullest. I dislike the shape of the stick, it's huge and bulky. It's even larger than Lioele Jumbo stick concealer, ewww...making the application much more difficult. The color is a bit darker than the liquid one, and both of them is TOO DARK for me :(, making every zits and blemishes on my face became more visible. Also, this is kinda dry, so it will sit and stays on your dry patches, accentuating them (esp. on acne and zits) It won't cover them! Other thing that I hate is the blotchy result. Also, even over a good primer, it has zero staying power, zero pigment, like when you kind of swipe it a little, it will be gone.
I won't be using it anymore on my fez. Lately I even start to use it as a lip concealer (since it's too dark anyway, LOL) it's better for that purpose.

NB21 which is the lightest shade available is way way too dark for and too orangey for me ;^;
Also, it's really hard to work with this concealer, like you'll need lots of extra time just to conceal everything. That won't happen if I were to use one from BOBBI BROWN (as of course LOL) or even the cheaper version, LIOELE Photogenic mix concealer.

all in all this is just a so-so concealer for me, still better than those drugstore concealer though (compared to Revlon/Maybelline this one is slightly better). But as for concealer, I'd better pay MORE to gain MORE. Cuz concealer plays an important role in my make-up routine.

Some of concealer that works REALLY WELL on me:

 BOBBI BROWN creamy concealer kit

 LIOELE Photogenic Mix Concealer

Yes I love creamy concealer so much! would be extremely difficult for me to go without these~♥

LOL! It seems that I wrote quite a long review in the end, Hahaha... Well then, have a nice weekend ladies! Take care and be pretty as always ^o^

Review: The Brush Guard Cleaning Kit

Brush cleaning kit is essential for me, and I have to say that I'm really really happy when I finally received THE BRUSH GUARD Cleaning Kit from awanawan.com (thank you!♥). Brush cleaning process has become so much easier with this kit, I swear!

ON TO THE REVIEW~! ★

In The Brush Guard Cleaning Kit, you'll find:
- Squeaky clean brush shampoo
- Washing cup (greeny mint)
- Drying vase (dark grey)
- Eco blotting cloth
- THE BRUSH GUARD variety pack (5 pcs)

LOL~ I pretty much loving its funny packaging design! Bet u're gonna like it too~♥

Here's the squeaky clean brush shampoo, it has a subtle scent and is free from additional coloring agent. Texture of the liquid is thick. If you check on the ingredients list, it has some funny ingredients like panthenol, which is purposely added to give 'shine' on hairy object, lots of herbal extract, and also tocopherol (Vit E)! Haha! This brush shampoo is very mild, and despite having a sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, it doesn't foam too much, so you may need more than a pea sized amount of it for each cleaning session. I like this shampoo as it cleans and also disinfect my brushes, no more gross ickies on my big brush family, hehe ☻

THE BRUSH GUARD variety pack
Brush guard is also essential for me! This little stretchy thing keeps the brush in its original shape as well as acts as a 'container' for each of the brush. There are many types of brush guard available in the market. This one has a thick webbing fibers and aren't too stretchy. Actually I'd prefer one that is thinner and more elastic, I literally got some of those, need to buy more later though~ My BGs are currently guarding some of my fave natural brushes like one from Shu Uemura dan Bare Essentials.

Make-up brush cleansing instruction :)

The cleansing process!^o^ At first I want to make a demo picture by using some of my favorite brushes, but I got so lazy and initially grabbed on my MAKE UP FOR YOU 24 pcs pink brush set as I really NEED to clean them! Will be reviewing this set later (cuz I got some request), though, this is definitely won't be on my favorite brushes list! LoL~

sudsing surface of the washing cup

Just pour an ample amount of the liquid shampoo into washing cup, then swirl the already wet brushes on the bottom surface of the washing cup for a while. For bigger brush like foundie brush or other face brush, I usually cleanse them individually (and twice if needed!).

Blot the excess water with a blotting cloth, this blotting cloth is VERY SOFT and absorb really well  too :) Love it! Reshape the brush and let them dry.

Ideally, according to proffesional MUA's tips (read: Lisa Eldridge, Robert Jones, Wayne Goss), the correct way is to lay them flat on top of towel and let them dry naturally.

But this is what I did lol! Sorry, brushes > . <~

Drying process as written on the instruction card, put a brush guard on and put it on drying vase, bristle down. I didn't try this process though, putting on the brush guard on drying process my be a good idea to keep them in shape, but it will slow down the drying process so I think I'll just lay them (read: favorite brushes) flat over a towel next time.

BRUSH CLEANING TIPS (as also mentioned by Shu Uemura and Bobbi Brown:)
Never dampen the bottom of hair (area that is attached to ferule) as it may damage the brush! Even the most expensive brush will slowly shed if you do this. So if your expensive luxurious brush is shedding, the problem might not be the brush itself, it might be because of the way you cleanse them.

Take a good care of your make-up brushes ladies, as they're one of the most important tool in make-up artistry ^-^
Now, care to share how you cleanse your brushes? and what is your favorite brush shampoo? Have you tried using baby shampoo as a brush cleanser? Give me your opinion ^-^! Thanks for reading and See ya on my next post!♥

July Haul: Make-up and Skincare! SEPHORA & Clinique

$

Hi :) So we meet again on July's haul post. Hehehe, This time I have a mini make-up haul and skincare haul (I decided to switch to Clinique).

This was from last week :) Here's the list for you:
- SEPHORA pro lesson smokey eye palette
- NYX love in parries let them eat cake
- H&M hello kitty palette
- Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation ()
- Too Faced chocolate soleil bronzing powder
- Too faced lip insurance (I bought two)
- NYX lip pencil in natural
- Urban Decay lipstick in GASH
- SHU UEMURA natural face brush (junior version of Shu uemura 27 brush) ()
- SHU UEMURA eyelash curler
- SHU UEMURA loose powder #colorless ()
- Missha the style eyeshadow pink
- Benefit Cha Cha tint mini, Benefit Stay don't stray mini, Benefit Sunbeam mini
and some of other little thing that I forgot to include in the pic

Other thing....
Finally got my hand on these! I bought double beauty blender make-up sponge! Oh yeay! One for me and one for client, that's what I think. This cute egg like sponge is very very soft and bouncy. All this time, I've been using foundie brush from Masami Shouko, Sigma (F80), and Estee lauder, but nothing comes in par with beauty blender. And I mean it. Robert Jones (proffesional MUA) said that, the only time brushes are better than a sponge is when doing a retouch, and he's right!

Shu uemura natural face brush, Shu uemura loose powder in colorless, Illamasqua rich liquid foundation RF135

These are my holy grails! The brush is actually all white in color (pardon the low quality phone-cam picture) and made from goat hair, This face brush is very similar, like a junior size of Shu uemura 27 face brush, which is also floppy and bouncy. Definitely love it! And I bought Shu uemura face powder few days after I received the brush, just to make it 'complete' lol.

Illamasqua rich liquid foundation is a totally versatile foundation that could also be used as a concealer, it's highly highly pigmented! Result is flawless, semi matte, and if you have a well cared skin, it will blend REALLY well with your skin and people won't notice that you're wearing a foundation, just like a better second skin. I used less than a pea sized amount, result is VERY VERY natural yet it COVERS!  This is my holy grail! And I've been using it almost everytyme I go out, until last week T___T Clinique Anti Blemish line crazily dried out my skin and the result isn't as beautiful as it used to! Sobbbb! (issokai, I switch to Revlonn whipped cream for the time being as it formulated without ingredients that could exacerbate acne like talc and fragrance), thought it will be a better option during purging period like this ;^; hopefully.

So yea, now I can't stop CRAVING for other SHU UEMURA and ILLAMASQUA products! I love love LOVE these certain BRANDS!

And here's my CLINIQUE haul! ^-^ Mostly skincare! I bought ANTI BLEMISH SOLUTIONS 3 step system which include mousse foam, lotion, and moisturizer. I also bought Clinique take the day off cleansing oil, Clinique mousse facial cleanser, normal facial cleanser, post blemish pen, Clinique anti blemish spot treatment gel (), moisture surge refreshing eye gel, moisture surge cream, Clinique blush brush, mascara, Estee lauder mascara, Clinique 7day scrub, Clinique blended face powder in neutral and invisible blend ().

*Note: I'm still in purging period! (been using it for 1 week) Clinique anti blemish 3 step system give me like the worst blemish ever and has completely changed my skin! (it's DRY now! yet still oily) ewww.... But I will continue using it and I really hope I can get through the purging period because I really want to love this line! Wish me luck!

I'll be back with more updated and detailed review later on, just be sure to check on myprevious haul post and mail me if you want me to review certain products :3

And, lastly, I'll be HOSTING A GIVEAWAY soon! do watch out for it~!
